Who we are
This site is run by Shropshire Squash to organise the county squash and racketball leagues. Shropshire Squash is responsible for the personal information described here. Questions or requests about your information: league@shropshiresquash.org.
What we keep, and why

We use this information because it is needed to run the leagues that you and your club take part in (our legitimate interests). Optional profile details are only kept because you choose to add them, and you can remove them at any time.
Who can see it
- Everyone signed in can see fixtures, results, league tables, team lists (names only) and the parts of player profiles that people have chosen to share.
- Captains, vice-captains and club captains can also see squads, captains' contact details, and details players have shared with captains.
- League admins can see everything needed to run the league.
- The site is not public: you have to sign in to see anything. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Emails we send
The site sends emails about the league, such as sign-in links, squad reminders to captains and, if switched on, your match results. You can turn off result emails on your profile.
Services that help us run the site
Your information is stored and processed by these providers on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Google Cloud): sign-in and the database. The league database is stored in Google's London data centre region (europe-west2).
- Google Apps Script and Gmail: automatic emails.
- Netlify: hosts the website pages.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, under their own data protection safeguards.
Junior players (under 18)
Junior players can use the site and create a profile in the same way as adult players. Junior profiles use an emoji or initials as their picture: a photo of a junior player will only be used with a parent's or guardian's permission. Parents or guardians can contact us at league@shropshiresquash.org about a junior player's information.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile while you play in the league. Results and league tables are kept as the league's record of each season. If you ask us to delete your profile, we will delete your profile and the personal details in it. Your name will stay on past results and squads, as these form part of the league's records of each season.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact league@shropshiresquash.org. If you're not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Information stored on your device
The site stores a small amount of information in your browser so you stay signed in and it remembers things like notices you have dismissed. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We will update this page if anything changes, and show the date at the top.
